Content of Program:

A new student study Bible will be given to each 7th grader.  The first unit introduces students to their new Bibles... what the Bible is, how it came to be, its contents, its authority for Christians, and how to use it.  Students are to bring their Bibles every week.

7th and 8th: Stories relevant to student's lives are used to explore the parts of Luther's Small Catechism.  Students also learn about Martin Luther - his life and theology.
9th: Two Biblical books, a Lutheran theologian, and a modern day prophet are studied and their relevance for the lives of the students.
10th: Attend the post-confirmation/non-confirmation senior high group, Post-con-non-con.  Write a paper: "My Faith Journey".  Select a mentor.  Make a stole.  Attend "Assessing Faith Maturity" retreat.  An interview with a Pastor.
"Parents Night":  On the 3rd Wednesday of each month parents attend large group with students and separately in their own small groups.
