Confirmation Service Projects

Service Projects put Christianity into practice by serving in the church and in the world.  Individual project examples include: acolyting, playing an instrument for worship, or serving in the nursery.

Each small group will choose at least two service projects.  Below are just some of the many options:

1. Food for Friends - Mankato's soup kitchen/ Oct 28 & Dec 2/ 10:30am to 1:30pm.

2. Rake the Town - Join volunteer groups from all over Mankato as they rake leaves for the elderly and disabled.

3. Habitat for Humanity - building homes for people who need them.

4. Salvation Army "Red Kettle" - ringing bells to help raise money for charity.

5. Festival of Trees

6. Yellow Ribbon Society for Suicide Prevention/ Serve at a "Bowl-a-thon" or formal dinner & dance.

7. Trick or Treat for $$$ for Teresa House, Habitat for Humanity, Open Door, Salvation Army, etc.

8. Hunger Homeless March

9. CROP Walk for Hungry People

10. Kids Against Hunger - Help package highly nutritious food to send to the hungry around the world.

11. Fleece blankets for CADA or ISJ
